About the role:
We are searching for an experienced Integration Engineer who is enthusiastic about delivering highly scalable distributed services to join our API team.
The Giphy API is the core infrastructure that powers both internal and external products, including Giphy.com. It handles more than 50+ billion requests per month, with traffic consisting of several petabytes of media. - Understanding of API technologies, especially HTTPS and REST APIs, including JSON, HTTP request-response cycle, etc.;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Experience in communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences;
- Ability to multi-task and be self-sufficient while proactively helping others resolve problems;
- Experience with high-scale services;
- Experience in contributing to the development community (e.g., blogs, Stack Overflow, Quora, GitHub, Slack, etc.);
- Experience working in highly collaborative environments, where you might be asked to wear multiple hats and work creatively with peers in a constrained environment.
Nice to have:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
