About the role:

As an ML Engineer, you will be tasked with building innovative language-large-model-based (LLM-based) generative search products targeted towards our client’s investment business clientele by leveraging your expertise in LLMs, cloud computing (Azure and AWS), Python programming, containerization (Docker), and vector databases. In this role, you will be at the center of all the decision support for the company as we utilize the latest ML/DL and data science techniques to continuously optimize every aspect of our client’s business.

About the project:

This is a new project and you will be leading the process of creating a new AI platform for our client. There will be a strong emphasis on universal search using LLMs and NLP with this new project, and it requires a holistic approach with expertise in both machine learning and data practices to achieve our vision.

Who are we looking for?

Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or technical equivalent;
5+ years of experience in data science roles;
Highly proficient in Python and SQL;
Machine learning experience: supervised/unsupervised learning, recommendation systems, reinforcement learning, deep learning, time series, etc.;
MLOps experience: deployment, serving, tracking, and monitoring;
Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake);
Ability to effectively work with business leads: strong communication skills, ability to synthesize conclusions for non-experts, and desire to influence business decisions;
An intuitive sense of how quantitative and technical work aligns closely with business priorities and business values;
Good written and spoken English.

NICE TO HAVE:

10+ years of experience post-degree in data analysis/data science roles;
Working experience with Prophet, ARIMA, deepaAR, RNNs, and ranking (LTR);
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering, physics, neuroscience, operations research, etc.;
Experience with Open AI API or other LLMs.

Responsibilities:

Own the entire machine learning lifecycle from conception to prototyping, testing, deploying, and measuring its overall business value;
Leverage your deep understanding of machine learning, specifically generative models and natural language processing (NLP), to design, build, and deploy generative search products based on LLMs;
Employ your knowledge of cloud services such as Azure OpenAI Services, AWS, and Azure to effectively manage the scaling and deployment of our generative search solutions;
Use your knowledge of vector databases to efficiently manage and query our complex, high-dimensional data structures that are integral to our search products;
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, define system functionality, and ensure the delivery of reliable and high-performing generative search products;
Using data to improve the decision-making of people at the client’s company;
Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends in AI, machine learning, NLP, and cloud services to ensure our systems are always ahead of the curve.
